Another Zidane Incident?

Regarding last week's soccer tournament (which officially ended today - finals), the AW team had a lot of fun. There were a few pulled muscles here and there and AW's cousin Mo got a little sick (upset stomach & slight fever). But, they managed to keep on playing and finish the 5-game tournament. Thanks to Mo for putting AW's pulled quad back in shape to finish his goaltending duties in the last 2 games.

The whole day was a lot of fun and the refs were super cool. Thanks, guys. Too bad the day had to end on a bit of a 'sour note' due to one team that came back drunk after the lunch break and started throwing around some 'not so' colorful comments - really classy bunch o' winners... not! We really felt like kicking one guy's ass (he kept mouthing off at everyone around him), but that would have just created another 'copycat' Zidane moment (btw, we totally back Zizou up on that moment - good for you, bro!). Also, off the record, a couple of teams allegedly tried to fix their last game against each other in order to eliminate another team. DUDES - it's a f$%@! charity tournament! You guys suck!

Anyways, let's stay focused on the positive stuff - fun day overall and the AW team had a good time (despite the losses and the 768 shots on net against AW ... lol!). I think the AW team will bring a few more defencemen next time. Thanks to the gang for showing up. We'll be sure to bring a lawn chair (and a few more burgers) for Paolo next time - hope you slept enough, dude. Ur a star and we love ya! ;)

Playing as 'Ghost Riders'

This weekend (Sunday, May 18, 2008), Anthony Wal, along with the band and a young team of soccer players, will participate in the annual ISSA Summer Cup 2008. This event is organized by Concordia University students (Montreal, Canada) in collaboration with UNICEF in order to raise funds for the organization. The 'Ghost Riders' team donated $300 as part of their registration for the tournament (proceeds going to UNICEF). The event will take place at Loyola Campus in NDG (7141 Sherbrooke W.). For more info, contact: issa.fc@gmail.com or come out to the field to support a good cause.

Presently, the AW-band is in studio recording songs for the next CD. For more updates, come back and visit our blog soon.

Back from that place...

After a long break from MySpace (and every other space), the Anthony Wal band is coming back with more singles, lyrics, and an upcoming CD. We even got a few new pics up and we'll try to get some pics of the other band members up shortly.

Soon, we'll post some of the titles for the upcoming singles being worked on in studio. Let us know what you think.

Don't forget to call your local radio station and put in a request for Anthony Wal.
For those in the Montreal (Canada), call TheMix at 514-7900-MIX or go online to request a song at:
